The Celestial Church of Christ and the Cherubim and Seraphim joined forces on Saturday for a vibrant unity rally in Lagos, aimed at strengthening their bond and showcasing their unified purpose to the city.

Kicking off from Victoria Island, members of both churches formed a grand motorcade that traversed major roads and streets, spreading the message of unification to Lagos residents. The rally was a colourful affair, featuring a live band, spirited songs, and joyful dances that enlivened the atmosphere.

Participants distributed handbills and T-shirts bearing inscriptions of unity, emphasizing their shared worship and purpose. The theme of the rally, “Celebrating the Unity of the Holy Spirit: Celebrate the Comforter, Abuja 2024,” resonated through the event, highlighting the churches’ commitment to harmony.

The rally, organised by Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi, Founder of the Love of Christ Generation Church on Victoria Island, marked a significant step towards a larger unification crusade planned for July 20 at the National Stadium in Abuja. This upcoming event is expected to draw Christian religious leaders, including the Supreme Head of Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Worldwide, Prophet Solomon Adegboyega Alao.

During the rally, Ajayi spoke passionately about the comfort and unity brought by the Holy Spirit. “The presence of the Holy Spirit depicts freedom, love, unity, and purposeful leadership,” she said. Ajayi emphasized the need for harmony among believers, stating, “As believers, we should not encourage cracks in our fold. We worship one supreme God, and our unity should be our signpost.”

Ajayi also highlighted the adverse effects of disunity on soul-winning efforts and urged churches to continue providing humanitarian services to strengthen their communities.

As Lagos witnessed this remarkable display of unity, the message was clear: faith, love, and togetherness can pave the way for a brighter, more harmonious future for all.
