University of Ibadan Tops Nigeria in Law, Medicine in 2026 THE Rankings
The University of Ibadan (UI) has been named Nigeria’s leading institution in both law and medicine, according to the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2026.

UI ranked in the 301–400 band globally for law, sharing the placement with the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, while leading the country in medical and health-related subjects. The University of Lagos followed in the 401–500 band for medicine.
