UPDATED: Bisola Bamidele becomes Erelu Borokini of Owu-Kuta

The ancient town of Owu-Kuta in the Aiyedire local government area of Osun State, was agog on Friday when it played host to topmost Yoruba traditional rulers, Military Officers and other high-profile personalities from both within and outside the country for the occasion of installation of prominent Nigerian as his traditional Chiefs.
Apart from traditional rulers, others who thronged the modern Olowu’s palace, were politicians, business moguls, among others from all walks of life.
Adding colour to the occasion was the cultural troop from far away Benue State as well as the conferment of chieftaincy titles on distinguished personalities which includes, the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of the famous, Bisbam Global Ventures, Erelu Abisola Bamidele who was installed as Erelu Borokini of the ancient Owu-Kuta Kingdom.
The conferment of high-profile traditional titles on the deserving individuals pulled a large number dignitaries from within and outside the country, contributing to the large turnout colourful and well attended event.
Gorgeously dressed, Erelu Abisola Bamidele was flanked by his associates, groups, relatives as well as Shinning Sisters at the event.
The former installation was performed on the Erelu first by the kingmakers.
The new Erelu Borokini of Owu-Kuta Kingdom, who could not hide her joy, said she could not comprehend how it happened that she, from faraway Epe land in Lagos State, could be honoured by a foremost monarch in Yoruba land.
In her words, “To God be the glory for counting me worthy to be honoured with the title of Erelu Borokini of Owu-Kuta and witnessed by many prominent Yoruba traditional rulers from far and near, like the Orangun of Oke-Ila, Prof Adedokun Abolarin, Aroyinkeye 1, the Onigege of Igege, Alawo of Awo among prominent community leaders, I am highly elated.
“I appreciate the Olori, Olori Adeola Fatimoh Oyelude, Iyalode of Kuta, the kingmakers and my father, the Olowu of Owu-Kuta, Oba Dr Adekunle Oyelude Makama, Tegbosin III for bestowing the prestigious honour on me, I am happy and it is not my making but the Almighty God, Baba I give you all the honour and glory, you are worthy to be praised”.
She however promised to be up and doing, always be part of developmental projects and pursue the development of the ancient Owu-Kuta Kingdom as she has also becomes an illustrious daughter of the land.
The Epe in Lagos State born business mogul, said her new title would spur her to do more for the development of mankind.
The Erelu Borokini in her joyous mood called on Yoruba leaders to be more united and promote the language, culture, tradition and customs of Yoruba.
She appreciated the people who have come to join her for the installation at the Olowu’s palace.
“Long may you reign as Erelu Borokini of Owu-Kuta, I pray that God should endow you with wisdom and grant you good health in your continued resolve to contribute to women empowerment and to uphold the dignity of womanhood.”
The colourful occasion witnessed a donation for the Palace Foundation taking care of the widows and needy.
