We Are Not Recruiting Hajj Nursing Volunteer – NAHCON
Jerry Adesewo
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has issued a warning regarding misleading information circulating on social media about the recruitment of volunteer nursing staff for the 2024 Hajj services.
The Commission has clarified that it has not authorised any organisation to recruit volunteer nurses, and any applications or CVs sent through Sultan Bello Mosque in Kaduna or via a provided Google link are fraudulent.
NAHCON emphasises that only medical personnel engaged by the Commission are authorised to provide medical services during Hajj in Saudi Arabia. “Setting up of clinics by country representatives, including NAHCON, is strictly regulated by Saudi Arabian authorities. Therefore, any organisation offering medical assistance without the Commission’s knowledge is operating illegally and may face legal consequences.
The Imam of Sultan Bello Mosque, Sheikh Dr. Muhammad Suleman Adam, has also distanced himself from the purported recruitment offer. He affirms his commitment to disseminating only authentic information from NAHCON as the official body responsible for Hajj matters in Nigeria.
NAHCON reminds the public that it communicates solely through official government channels, print and electronic media, and its authorised social media handles: @nigeriahajjcom (Instagram, Facebook & Twitter) and the NAHCON Website at nahcon.gov.ng.
For legitimate inquiries, the public is advised to contact the Commission’s official access numbers at 09071800007 & 08059456781 (Calls/Text/WhatsApp).
NAHCON urges followers to disregard any unverified information that does not originate from the Commission’s official sources.
