The two-day international gathering is expected to bring together a rich constellation of literary minds and cultural thinkers from across the globe to engage in dialogue, reflection, and strategic thinking about the evolving role of literature in today’s complex world.
Themed as a forum for “live dialogue, deep reflection, and collective thinking”, the Moscow Congress aims to further WOW’s mission of uniting the creative and intellectual forces of the planet in pursuit of a new humanitarian and cultural agenda.
Who Is Invited? The organizers have extended an open invitation to: Writers and poets, Playwrights and essayists, Philosophers and translators, Literary agents, editors, and critics, Representatives of literary unions, cultural organizations, media, and humanitarian institutions. Participants from over 100 countries have already been invited, making the upcoming edition one of the most diverse literary gatherings on the global calendar.
A Global Continuum
The 1st World Congress of Writers, held in 2024 under the auspices of the Pan African Writers Association (PAWA) in Abuja, laid the foundation for a global literary community committed to cultural cooperation and collective advocacy for writers’ voices worldwide.
Building on that momentum, the Moscow Congress will mark “a new stage in the development of a truly international literary community,” according to the organizers.
Further details about the programme, speakers, and registration will be announced in the coming weeks at www.worldpublicsummit.org, or interested participants could contact the organisers via email for enquiries at summit@eurasia-assembly.org
