Buratai urges children to be humble, loyal, dedicated

Former Chief of Army Staff and former Nigerian Ambassador to Benin Republic, Lieutenant-General Tukur Yusuf Buratai (rtd) has advised children to imbibe the virtues of humility, honesty, hard work and loyalty in order to become successful in life.

Gen Buratai gave this admonition on Tuesday in Abuja while giving remarks at the occasion of the public presentation of the Children Book and Animated Narration the “Legend of Buratai” written in his honour.

The ex-Chief of Army Staff and ex-Ambassador, who said he was just an ordinary boy in African setting, attributed his success to diligence, excellence, loyalty and trust in God as well as perseverance, adding that he decided to join the Nigerian Army because of his passion for the job.

Gen Buratai charged both children and adults to have big dreams and work towards the actualization of such dreams with every sense of determination and commitment, stressing that self-worth, dignity and determination should be the core priorities of whoever wants to be great in life.

He said, “Don’t feel like you are nobody. Be confident. Always know that your life has meaning. Success in all your pursuit must be realized through these concepts.
