Kano APC protests guber poll results, seeks removal of INEC REC
The All Progressives Congress (APC) On Wednesday in Kano State challenged the outcome of the governorship election and demanded that the state’s resident electoral commissioner be fired immediately (REC).
The demonstrators forced their way through the armed security guards who were manning the entrances to the state INEC headquarters, demanding a review of the outcomes and the immediate dismissal of the REC.
The Legal Adviser to the state chapter of the party, Mr. Abdullahi Fagge, urged that the election be reviewed in a letter that he delivered to the Independent National Electoral Commission (REC) representative.

Mr. Lawal Sani, a representative of the REC, pledged to respond to their needs as soon as possible after receiving the letter.
The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) governorship candidate Yusuf Kabir was declared the governor-elect on Monday, beating out the counterpart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nasir Gawuna.
