Ojema: A Destiny Child whose time has come

During creation, God attaches everyone with his/her destiny which may delay but must come. Some people are made to be leaders, some to make leaders and some to support leaders.
Leadership is from God as explicitly said in John 3:27; “A man will receive nothing unless given to him from heaven”.
Pst. Comr Ojotu Ojema, the PDP House of Reps Candidate for Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency in the 2023 General Elections is in the category of those born to be leaders.
His leadership trajectory started right from when he was a student at the famous Benue State University Makurdi in the Department of Political Science. During this period, he became the first Agatu son and from Apa/Agatu political bloc to emerge as the National President of the National Association of Idoma Students (NAIS), the umbrella union of all Idoma sons and daughters studying in Higher Institutions. Prior to his victory, the position was always rotated among students from Enone and Otukpo/Ohimini only.
His Leadership acceleration outside his educational pursuit is even better. Shortly after his graduation and few years into his Civil Service Career, he became the First Idoma son to emerge as the State Chairman, Joint Public Service Negotiation I, III and III, Benue State despite stiff opposition during the election. A rare victory many including his traducers described as a path to future greatness. During his administration, Ojema became the first chairman of the union to initiate, complete and commission the State Secretariat of the Association located along Mobile Barracks-Naka Road Makurdi.

Due to his successful exploit in civil service union negotiation with the State government which had ensured peace and tranquility between the two groups, the Executive Governor of Benue State, His Excellency, Samuel Ortom in 2021 decided to entrust Pst Ojema Ojotu with another leadership opportunity, by appointing him as the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, becoming the youngest member of the state cabinet in history. As usual, during his tenure, he recorded so many successes including, the First Benue Youth Summit, First Benue Youth Parliament and many others.
Six months after receiving a spiritual message from the creator, asking him to extend his political tentacle beyond the state in order to bring dividends of democracy and development to the doorsteps of his people, Comr Ojema decided to throw in the towel after series of consultation with the governor and other political stakeholders in the state including, that of Apa and Agatu to enable him contest for House of Reps, Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency in the 2023 General Elections.
With persistent prayers as a Man of God and rigorous electioneering campaign with a clear manifesto, Pst Ojema won the House of Reps primary for the Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency few months ago, an election described as the most keenly contested in the history of the Federal Constituency.
In line with his plan of making PDP one united family after primaries and before the 2023 General Election, Pst. Ojema swiftly embarked on peace and reconciliation journey, touring every nook and cranny of the two local government areas, preaching message of peace and reconciliation for the greatness and victory of the party in 2023, visiting everyone, including those who contested against him and their supporters to join hands with him in order to accomplish his plan of providing quality representation to his people at the Green Chamber of the 10th National Assembly if given the opportunity to represent them. One of the great messages that is always coming from him to his opponents during his peace and reconciliatory tour is that; “Nobody is a loser, everybody is a winner, a message that that has placated so many people and won their hearts.
For the great people of Apa/Agatu Federal Constituency, Ojema election victory in 2023 is already a concluded matter as he only awaits inauguration.
From the above scenarios, it is very clear that Pst Ojema is a Destiny Child whose time has come.
