PDP’s Bala Mohammed re-elected Bauchi Governor
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate and current governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, has been proclaimed the victor of the state’s governorship election held on Saturday.
After receiving 525,280 votes, Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Mohammed, the INEC returning officer, declared Mohammed the election’s victor on Monday at the State Collation Center.

Mohammed won over 13 local government areas out of the 19 LGA results in the State.
He defeated Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar (rtd), a candidate for the main opposition All Progressives Congress (APC), who received 283,000 votes and won in only six local government areas in the State.
