Police rescue 19 INEC ad-hoc staff kidnapped in Imo
19 Ad-Hoc staff members of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, who were abducted in the State early on Saturday morning have been freed by Imo State Police Command men.
Chinenye Chijioke-Osuji, a spokesman for INEC in the State, verified the news.
She claimed that after receiving a distress call, they were rescued and that the security personnel were informed of the situation and quickly went to work.

The rescued Ad-Hoc staff of the electoral commission were on their way to seven different polling units in Ugbelie ward 06 in Ideato South Local Government Area of the State when they were kidnapped.
She added that some election materials, including BVAS and sensitive materials, were not recovered.
