1,500 APC Support Groups Back Yari’s Renewed Hope Network for Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election Bid

Ahead of the 2027 presidential election, about 1,500 registered support groups within Nigeria’s ruling party have endorsed the Renewed Hope Network (TRN), a grassroots mobilization platform championed by Senator Abdulaziz Yari, to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The endorsement was announced in Abuja by the APC Support Groups Council, which said the platform would serve as a special purpose vehicle to galvanize nationwide grassroots support once the Independent National Electoral Commission lifts the ban on political campaigns.
In a statement signed by the Deputy Director General of the council, Dr AK Peters, the decision followed a strategic meeting between the council and the technical team of the Renewed Hope Network. The team was led by APC mobilizer Okpokwu Ogenyi and international diplomat Tunji John Asaolu.
Peters expressed confidence in what he described as the “growing nationwide momentum” of the initiative, noting that the network is designed to coordinate robust grassroots engagement ahead of the January 16, 2027 presidential election.
The Renewed Hope Network is powered by Senator Yari, a former governor of Zamfara State and current senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District. According to Peters, the platform has already begun mobilizing polling unit canvassers across the country as part of its early organizational efforts.
“The TRN is committed to building the most formidable grassroots political movement in support of the President within a very short time,” Peters said. “Within the APC we have over 3,500 registered support groups, and about 1,500 of them have already approved partnership with the Renewed Hope Network. We are confident that another 2,000 groups will join between now and Easter.”
He added that the council believes the structure being established by the network will help secure a strong electoral showing for President Tinubu in 2027.
Peters also praised Senator Yari’s leadership in driving the initiative, describing the Renewed Hope Network as a critical platform for nationwide mobilization. He reaffirmed the council’s commitment to rallying support for the President’s second-term ambition, expressing confidence that Tinubu would be sworn in for another term on May 29, 2027.
