Stay away from Osun, Amotekun warns hoodlums

The Osun State Security Network, codenamed Amotekun Corps, has warned criminals to vacate the state or be prepared to face the wrath of the law.

The State Commander of the Corps, Dr Omoyele Isaac Adekunle issued this warning while parading some suspects who were arrested for various crimes across the state at the Corps Headquarters in Osogbo the capital of Osun State on Monday.

“I intend to roll and abreast you with the achievements and breakthrough of the Osun Amotekun Corps within the last one month. The efforts of the command in tackling crime and criminality had paid off many crimes were busted while many suspects in various cases were arrested. Similarly, some of their exhibits stolen were recovered” he said.

The Osun Amotekun Corps Commander stated that the arrested suspected criminals’ activities spanned conspiracy stealing and murder, kidnapping, burglary and vandalisation of transformer cables among others.

According to Adekunle, “The message we are sending to criminals is clear, Osun State is not a safe haven for them.

“We want them to understand that kidnapping, burglary, housebreaking, non of these crimes will go unpunished here in Osun. What is the point of stealing if you can’t escape the consequences?.

“So, we are warning criminals to leave Osun State” Adekunle emphasised.

The Commander said, the Osun Corps, with the consideration of ember month’s security challenges, has added pep in emplacing More strategies of traditional standards of patrolling.

The Amotekun Corps Commander who commended Governor Ademola Adeleke of the state for the logistics supports to the command, however called on the residents of the state to always demonstrate their unalloyed support to them in tackling insecurity in all nook and cranny of Osun saying “we are battle ready in tackling criminal activities in the state”.
