Kokab’s House of Art in Abuja launched its much-anticipated “Art Inspirit” exhibition on November 2, drawing an enthusiastic crowd eager to experience the unique creativity of young Nigerian artists.

According to a press release made available to our reporter (Matthew Eloyi), the exhibition, which runs until November 9, was inaugurated by notable figures, including Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, Major General Sohail Ahmed; the Abuja Chapter Chairman of the Society of Nigerian Artists, Mr. John Aderinkonmi; and Mr. Fegho John Umunubo, Special Assistant to the President on Digital and Creative Economy.

The centerpiece of “Art Inspirit” is a collection titled “Wings of Freedom” by Kokab Farrukh, the visionary founder of Kokab’s House of Art, alongside works from five young prodigies she has mentored.

These artists include 10-year-old Eniola Dauda, known for her bold use of color; Idris Ibrahim, 11, celebrated for his human portraits; 7-year-old Sara-Michelle Oni, who explores landscapes and human figures; 11-year-old Victoria Collins, whose work focuses on tulips and dolphins; and Mahrukh Farrukh, also 11, whose art transforms cats and calligraphy into captivating visuals.

The exhibition is structured around two thematic pillars:

  1. Serenity, Solitude, and Nature – A collection highlighting the tranquil beauty of nature, featuring vibrant landscapes, minimalist sculptures, and monochromatic photography.
  2. Humanity, Actions, and Nature – An exploration of the relationship between humans and the environment, presented through installations that prompt viewers to reflect on conservation and the impact of human actions on the planet.

According to the press statement, visitors to “Art Inspirit” can participate in artist talks, workshops, and guided tours, gaining deeper insight into the creative journey of these young artists and their messages of harmony with nature and community.

The statement added that Kokab’s House of Art, founded by Mrs. Kokab Farrukh, is known for its commitment to nurturing young talents through exhibitions, workshops, and an inspiring environment for creative expression.

“For more details, visit Kokab’s House of Art at 54 Mike Akhigbe Way, Jabi, Abuja, or follow @KokabsHouseOfArts on Instagram,” the statement partly read.
