Acting GOC Advocates Enhanced Collaboration with Borno Emirate
Brigadier General Abubakar Haruna, the Acting General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 7 Division and Commander Sector 1 Joint Task Force North East Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), has urged for increased synergy and continuous collaboration with the Borno Emirate.
During a courtesy visit to the palace of the Shehu of Borno, His Royal Highness Alhaji (Dr) Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai Al-amin El-Kanemi CFR, on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, General Haruna emphassed the importance of collaboration in enhancing operational efficiency. This visit was particularly significant in the context of the Division’s ongoing activities and served as an official introduction after assuming the role of the 14th Chief Wolf of the Division.
In response, the Shehu congratulated General Haruna on his well-deserved appointment and lauded the dedication and tireless efforts of the Nigerian Army in combating insurgency. He acknowledged the positive impact of these efforts, bringing relative peace and tranquility to Borno State.
The Shehu charged the military not to relent in their efforts and emphasised the necessity of completely decimating the remnants of Boko Haram insurgents and their counterparts. He conveyed his best wishes for unparalleled success in the future operations of the GOC and his team.
This visit underscores the commitment to fostering collaboration between the military and the Borno Emirate for the continued peace and security of the region.
