AK Peters Leads APC Support Groups to Rally Behind Renewed Hope Network for Tinubu’s 2027 Bid

Deputy Director General of the APC Support Groups Council, Dr AK Peters, has taken a leading role in galvanizing political support within the All Progressives Congress (APC), as no fewer than 1,500 registered APC support groups formally endorsed the Renewed Hope Network (TRN) as a major grassroots mobilization platform ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The endorsement comes as Nigerians await the lifting of the campaign ban by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a statement issued in Abuja, Peters said the decision followed a high-level strategic meeting between the APC Support Groups Council and the technical team of the Renewed Hope Network. The meeting featured prominent APC mobilizer and former Senior Special Assistant to the APC National Chairman on Civil Society and Support Groups, Comrade Okpokwu Ogenyi, as well as respected international diplomat, Prof. Tunji John Asaolu.
Peters commended the leadership and strategic direction of the network, noting that its growing acceptance across the country reflects strong grassroots confidence in the initiative.
The Renewed Hope Network is powered by former Zamfara State governor and Senator representing Zamfara West Senatorial District, Abdulaziz Yari, whose political structure and influence, Peters said, have been instrumental in strengthening the network’s reach nationwide.
As part of its early activities, the Renewed Hope Network has begun mobilizing polling unit canvassers across Nigeria’s polling units in preparation for the January 16, 2027 presidential election. The initiative is aimed at building a strong grassroots structure to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to Peters, the Renewed Hope Network has already established comprehensive structures and strategies designed to secure a resounding victory for the president in 2027.
“The TRN is committed to building the most formidable grassroots political movement in support of Mr. President within a very short time while networking every corner of the Country. In APC, we have over three thousand five hundred(3,500) registered support groups out of which one thousand five hundred (1,500) have approved partnership with the RenewedHope Network, TRN. We are confident that another 2,000 groups will join the network between now and Easter,” Ak Peters stated.
He further highlighted the leadership capacity of Senator Yari, stressing that the Renewed Hope Network has emerged as a central force in nationwide grassroots mobilization within the APC.
Peters reaffirmed the commitment of APC support groups to work closely with the network and its leadership team to mobilize Nigerians across the country toward ensuring that President Tinubu is sworn in for a second term on May 29, 2027.
