96-Year-Old Internet Star Faces Eviction Warning Over Late-Night Parties at Retirement Home
A 96-year-old internet personality, Lillian Droniak, popularly known online as Grandma Droniak, has sparked widespread reactions after revealing that she received a formal warning from her retirement home over late-night parties.
According to reports, the retirement facility in Shelton, Connecticut, cited repeated noise complaints, guests leaving her room after 1 a.m., and violations of rules prohibiting the serving of alcohol to residents. The management warned that continued breaches could lead to eviction proceedings.
Responding in a video shared on social media, Droniak criticised the warning, arguing that she should be free to enjoy herself, especially after paying about $12,000 monthly to live at the facility.
She also disclosed that she still planned to host her friends for drinks and conversation despite the warning.
The retirement home later confirmed that the warning letter was genuine but said the issue has since been resolved. According to the facility, Droniak will be allowed to continue hosting friends, provided she complies with agreed restrictions.
