He highlighted the company’s ongoing Train 7 Project, which is expected to increase NLNG’s liquefied natural gas production capacity from 22 million tonnes per annum to 30 million tonnes per annum. According to him, the expansion will create additional jobs, boost government revenue, and strengthen Nigeria’s position in the global energy market.

The minister stressed that promoting Nigeria’s strengths abroad remains a key priority of the government, adding that partnerships with leading national institutions such as NLNG would help reinforce the country’s image as a preferred investment destination in Africa.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation to enhance Nigeria’s global competitiveness, attract new investments, and support sustainable economic growth.
NLNG remains one of Nigeria’s leading energy companies, contributing significantly to the economy through taxes, dividends, local content development initiatives, and the creation of thousands of direct and indirect jobs across the country.
