The visit, which took place on Monday, October 5, 2026, was primarily to appreciate Obey for his generous donation of musical instruments to the newly inaugurated CAC Lady Evangelists Central Choir of Christ Apostolic Church, Nigeria and Overseas.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for the two Christian leaders to exchange ideas on strategic development initiatives, including projects aimed at advancing education, music ministry and societal development.

During the engagement, Professor Ademola held discussions with Obey on some of the music icon’s ongoing projects, particularly the proposed Ebenezer Obey Polytechnic in Abeokuta.

The General Evangelist also presented the vision and initiatives of the Professor Ademola Ojo Emmanuel Foundation (PAOEF), with particular emphasis on the foundation’s commitment to establishing what it describes as the first University of Professional Studies in Nigeria.

According to the statement on the visit, the discussions were described as “robust and fruitful”, reflecting a shared interest in initiatives that combine Christian ministry with educational and societal development.

Obey Presents Latest Music CDs

As part of the visit, Evangelist Professor Ebenezer Obey presented Professor Ademola with several copies of his latest music CDs.

The gesture was described as further evidence of the veteran musician’s continuing commitment to gospel music ministry and his support for the work of the Christ Apostolic Church.

Obey, one of Nigeria’s most celebrated gospel musicians, has maintained a long-standing influence through his music ministry, which has combined Christian messages with indigenous musical traditions.

Leaders Share Testimonies, Pray Together

The meeting also featured testimonies from Obey, who shared experiences of faith, divine grace and victory with the General Evangelist.

The two men subsequently prayed together, committing their respective ministries, development projects and future endeavours into the hands of God.

Professor Ademola also expressed appreciation to members of his delegation who accompanied him on the visit, particularly Engineer Durosimi Adekunle, who led the delegation.

The visit brought together two figures whose activities span Christian ministry, music, education and social development, with discussions centred on strengthening initiatives that seek to contribute to both the church and wider society.

The General Evangelist’s visit comes as the CAC continues to develop its programmes and structures, including the newly inaugurated Lady Evangelists Central Choir, while initiatives associated with both men seek to expand the role of faith-based leadership in education and community development.
