COAS Commends Journalists for Positive Coverage and Introduces Recognition Plaque at the First Quarter Conference

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, extended his appreciation to journalists for their constructive coverage and partnership with the Nigerian Army during the Chief of Army Staff’s First Quarter Conference 2024.
Gen. Labaja made commendations while speaking at the close of the conference held at Command Officers Mess 1 Asokoro.
The conference served as a pivotal platform for assessing the Nigerian Army’s activities in the first quarter of 2024, reflecting on previous decisions, and introducing new initiatives.
General Lagbaja introduced the Formation Command Appreciation/Recognition Plaque to honor senior commanders, emphasizing the importance of leadership continuity and dedication to national service.
General Lagbaja outlined forward-looking measures, including enhanced briefing procedures for incoming commanders and strategies to bolster troop morale.
He urged personnel to remain resilient in the face of challenges, highlighting the importance of overcoming fear, a tactic frequently employed by adversaries.
General Lagbaja assured unwavering loyalty to Nigeria’s constitution and reiterated the Nigerian Army’s commitment to national security.
He warned criminal elements of imminent action while calling upon law-abiding citizens to continue collaborating with the army.
In his closing remarks, Lieutenant General Lagbaja underscored the Nigerian Army’s resolve to address security challenges, expressed gratitude for the support received, and reaffirmed its dedication to fostering national prosperity.
