FCSC Dismisses CBT Cancellation Rumours, Assures Candidates of Upcoming Recruitment Test
The Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC), Tunji Olaopa, has assured shortlisted candidates in the Commission’s ongoing recruitment exercise that a Computer-Based Test (CBT) will be conducted soon.
In a statement issued over the weekend, the Commission dismissed reports circulating online that the CBT had been cancelled, describing the claims as false and misleading.
Professor Olaopa stated that preparations for the exercise are ongoing and that arrangements have already been put in place, pending the provision of the necessary resources required for its successful conduct.
He urged shortlisted candidates not to be distracted by unverified information and advised them to rely only on official communications from the Commission regarding the recruitment process.
According to the statement, the CBT remains a key component of the recruitment exercise, and candidates will be duly informed once a date and other relevant details have been finalized.
The Chairman further called on applicants to remain patient and calm while the Commission concludes the necessary arrangements for the examination.
The statement was signed by Ibraheem Zakariyya, Head of Press and Public Relations, on behalf of the Commission’s Communication Department.
The Commission reiterated its commitment to conducting a transparent, credible and merit-based recruitment process for all qualified applicants.
