JNI Bauchi Mourns Slain Police Officers, Demands Swift Justice,  Stronger Security Measures

The Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Bauchi State Chapter, has expressed deep sorrow over the brutal killing of police officers by suspected bandits in Darazo, calling for urgent government action to bring the perpetrators to justice.

In a statement issued on Monday and signed by the Secretary General of the Bauchi State Chapter, Engr. Ahmad Yakubu Jumba, the religious body, led by His Royal Highness Dr. Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu,  Emir of Bauchi, condoled with the families of the fallen officers and the Bauchi State Government.

JNI described the incident as a “barbaric and senseless act” that threatens peace and order in the state and the country at large. It emphasized that the targeted killing of security personnel represents an assault on national stability and should not be allowed to go unpunished.

The organization urged the government and security agencies to take immediate and decisive action, including launching a swift and comprehensive investigation, arresting and prosecuting the perpetrators, and strengthening security deployment and intelligence operations in Darazo and other vulnerable areas. It also called for adequate support and compensation for the bereaved families in recognition of the officers’ sacrifice, as well as intensified community engagement to deepen cooperation in the fight against banditry.

JNI Bauchi stressed that restoring public confidence requires visible commitment from authorities to safeguard lives and property.

The group prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased officers and asked Almighty Allah to comfort their families while guiding leaders toward fairness, justice, and accountability.
