The operation is part of ongoing security measures introduced by the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, aimed at strengthening intelligence gathering and tackling terrorism, kidnapping, and organised crime across the country.
According to reports, operatives of the anti-kidnapping squad led by Ibrahim Adamu Bakori carried out a raid in the Dandinshe area of Dala Local Government Area on May 2026, at about 1:15 p.m.
During the operation, police arrested a 35-year-old suspect identified as Umar Danladi Usman from the Kurna Layin Masallacin Juma’a area.
The suspect was apprehended inside a grey Honda Accord vehicle with tinted windows and registration number TFA 680 AA.
