Thousands of users across the world reported disruptions on Meta’s major platforms on Thursday, including Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger, according to outage tracking service Downdetector.

The reports indicated widespread difficulties accessing services, with users experiencing login issues, message delays, and feed loading errors across the affected apps.

Meta has since acknowledged the disruption, confirming that its services are gradually being restored. In a statement shared on X, Andy Stone, a member of Meta’s communications team, said: “We’re coming back, though it may take a bit of time for everything to be fully back to normal.”

While recovery efforts are underway, the company has not yet disclosed the cause of the outage, leaving the trigger for the disruption unclear at the time of reporting.

Meta’s platforms, which serve billions of users globally, are among the most widely used digital communication and social networking services, making even brief outages significantly disruptive for users, businesses, and content creators.

Further updates are expected as the company continues restoration work and investigates the incident.
