The First Lady of Niger State, Fatima Mohammed Bago, has urged newly employed healthcare professionals to discharge their duties with dedication, compassion and a strong sense of responsibility, describing healthcare as one of the most sensitive and impactful professions.

The charge was contained in a statement issued by her Chief Press Secretary, Hadiza Abdullahi Maikano, following the reception of three beneficiaries of permanent and pensionable appointments facilitated by the First Lady into the Niger State Primary Healthcare Development Agency under the Ministry of Health.

The beneficiaries are Aisha Nna Ibrahim, a Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW), Maryam Alfa, a Registered Midwife, and Fatima Binta Bello, also a Registered Midwife.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Fatima Binta Bello expressed appreciation to the First Lady for facilitating their employment, describing the opportunity as life-changing. She prayed for Allah’s continued guidance, protection and blessings upon Hajiya Fatima Mohammed Bago and commended her commitment to improving the lives of women and young girls across the state.

In her remarks, the First Lady congratulated the beneficiaries and advised them to approach their new responsibilities with professionalism, empathy and commitment to saving lives.

She stressed the importance of treating patients with kindness, patience and respect, noting that compassionate healthcare delivery can significantly improve patients’ recovery and overall wellbeing.

Hajiya Fatima Mohammed Bago also reaffirmed her commitment to advancing the welfare of women and protecting the interests of the girl-child through empowerment programmes, meaningful interventions and increased access to opportunities that improve lives and strengthen communities.

She wished the beneficiaries success in their careers and encouraged them to be worthy ambassadors of service, excellence and humanity in their respective places of assignment.

The First Lady reiterated her resolve to continue supporting initiatives that enhance healthcare delivery, empower women and promote sustainable development across Niger State.
