Nollywood Actress Faith Duke Temporarily Loses Sight After Intense Filming
Fast-rising Nollywood actress Faith Duke has revealed she temporarily lost her sight following a physically and emotionally demanding shoot for a movie produced by Frederic Leonard.

In an interview with PUNCH on Saturday, March 28, 2026, Duke detailed how the role required an extreme emotional investment, pushing her beyond her usual limits as a performer. Unlike previous roles, where she could maintain some control over her emotions, she said she fully embodied the character, wearing it “like a second skin.”
The intensity of the performance took a toll on her physically. Duke explained that excessive crying during filming caused her eyes to swell so severely that she was unable to continue shooting the following day. Her condition worsened, resulting in a temporary loss of vision, prompting her sisters to rush her to the hospital.
Medical professionals treated her with medication, and her vision returned after the swelling subsided.
Duke described the experience as one of the most intense of her career, noting the unique challenge of fully immersing herself in a character in a way that affected her health.
“Love Potion, a film I did for Frederic Leonard TV, pushed me to my limits. The next day, I temporarily lost my sight because of how much I cried during filming,” she said. “It was intense because, unlike other roles where I could control my emotions, I completely embodied that character.”
