Troops Rescue 15 Kidnap Victims After Repelling Terrorist Attack in Kebbi
Troops of Sector 2, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have rescued 15 kidnapped victims after successfully repelling a terrorist attack in Marge, Danko-Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State.
The operation, conducted on Saturday, 11 July 2026, followed credible intelligence on the activities of armed terrorists operating within the area.
Acting swiftly on the intelligence, troops deployed to Marge, where they encountered the terrorists and engaged them in a fierce firefight.
Military sources said the troops overpowered the attackers with superior firepower, forcing the terrorists to flee into the surrounding bush while abandoning their captives.
The operation was successfully executed without any casualties among the troops, highlighting the professionalism, courage and operational effectiveness of the soldiers involved.
Following the operation, all 15 rescued victims were safely recovered and reunited with their families, bringing relief to their loved ones and the affected community.
