APC Youths Remain Backbone of Party’s Strength — FCT Minister of State, Mariya Mahmoud
The Minister of State for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr. Mariya Mahmoud, has said that the energy, ideas, and mobilisation efforts of young people remain the backbone of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a key driver of its continued success.

Dr. Mahmoud made the observation while addressing youth leaders of the APC from the North-West Zone during the Asiwaju/Shettima “Meet and Greet” event held at the Ladi Kwali Hall, African Continental Hotel, Abuja.
She commended the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) and the APC youth leadership for organizing the gathering, describing it as a strategic platform for strengthening unity, engagement, and collective resolve within the party. The Minister praised the youths for their unwavering loyalty to the APC and the visionary leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima.
“Your energy, ideas, and mobilisation efforts continue to serve as the backbone of our party’s success and the sustenance of our democratic ideals,” Mahmoud stated.
She reaffirmed the pivotal role of the North-West Zone in Nigeria’s political evolution and the APC’s electoral victories, urging youth leaders to remain committed to issue-based engagement, peaceful mobilisation, and constructive dialogue in advancing the party’s goals.
Dr. Mahmoud expressed confidence that the engagement would further strengthen party unity and re-energize the youth base in support of the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu–Kashim Shettima administration.
In his remarks, the Minister of State for Works, Hon. Bello Muhammad Goronyo, who served as Director of the 2023 APC Youth Mobilisation for the North-West Zone, said the event was organized to bring together APC youth leaders who played critical roles in securing the party’s victory in the 2023 general elections.
Goronyo noted that the gathering also aimed to recognize the contributions of young party members to the implementation of President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He added that the engagement would re-energize youths across the zone for sustained support of the current administration.
He called on participants to continue contributing ideas and initiatives that would inspire more young people to support the President in delivering on his campaign promises to the North-West Zone and the nation at large.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of meritorious awards to outstanding APC youth leaders from the North-West Zone in recognition of their dedication and service to the party.
