Betta Edu Hails APC Leadership Emergence, Commends Tinubu’s Inclusive Leadership

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Betta Edu, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and members of the party’s newly elected National Working Committee (NWC), describing their emergence as a testament to internal democracy and progressive leadership.

In a statement personally signed following the party’s National Convention held between March 2026, the former APC National Women Leader praised delegates and stakeholders for what she described as a peaceful and well-organised exercise.

Edu commended President Tinubu for his leadership style and commitment to inclusivity, noting that the party has remained stable while expanding its membership base across the country under his watch.

She said the outcome of the convention, including the re-election of several party officials, has reinforced confidence in the APC’s structures and internal processes.

The former member of the party’s highest decision-making body urged the new NWC and members of the National Executive Committee (NEC) to prioritise unity, inclusiveness, grassroots mobilisation, and effective leadership at a critical period in Nigeria’s democratic journey.

“Your emergence comes with great responsibility and high expectations. I urge you to lead with integrity, fairness, and a deep sense of service,” she stated.

Edu further called on party members to close ranks and support the new leadership, stressing that collective effort remains essential to sustaining the party’s dominance and delivering good governance.

She also reaffirmed her commitment to the ideals of the party, pledging continued support towards building a stronger and more united platform ahead of future elections.
