General Christopher Gwabin Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), underscored the importance of collaboration during his visit to the Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Services (FIRS), Dr Zacch Adedeji, today.

The visit aimed to officially congratulate Dr Adedeji on his appointment by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu and to reaffirm the Armed Forces of Nigeria’s (AFN) commitment to ensuring the safety of life and property in the country.
General Musa expressed the AFN’s dedication to supporting FIRS in carrying out its responsibilities seamlessly. He emphasised the ongoing collaborative efforts of the Armed Forces with other security agencies to bring lasting peace to the nation, highlighting the role of taxation in national awareness and development.
In response, Mr Adedeji commended the AFN as a highly disciplined service and crucial partner in taxation matters. He acknowledged the need for the military’s support to facilitate FIRS duties. Mr Adedeji also stressed President Tinubu’s prioritisation of the military’s welfare and expressed gratitude to the CDS and the entire AFN for their vital support to FIRS.
