CDS Advocates Increased Collaboration with National Intelligence Agency to Combat Insecurity

In a bid to tackle the nation’s security challenges head-on, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, made a significant move today by visiting the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) Headquarters in Abuja. This strategic move aims to enhance cooperation between the country’s security apparatuses.

During the courtesy visit, General Musa lauded the exemplary leadership of Ambassador Ahmed Rufai Abubakar, the Director General of NIA, emphasizing the pivotal role the agency plays in supporting the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN). He stressed the importance of leveraging cutting-edge technology to effectively combat criminal activities plaguing the nation.

The unity and teamwork between the AFN and NIA were underscored by General Musa, highlighting the necessity of addressing security challenges with unwavering determination. He emphasized the principles of fairness and good governance in safeguarding national security interests.

In response, Ambassador Abubakar welcomed General Musa and his delegation warmly, emphasizing the paramount importance of cooperation in advancing national interests. He acknowledged the challenges facing security agencies but urged them to remain steadfast in their commitment to duty.
