The CDS further shared insights into his decision to celebrate Christmas and his birthday with a people-centric focus, as he underscores the importance of considering both security agents and citizens as part of one collective entity. “It is important to recognise the significance of health, and to visit hospitals during celebrations to show support and goodwill to those unable to partake in the festivities. This, we must do more regularly”

Speaking to the media, after his visit, the CDS reiterated the call for unity among Nigerians in the face of common challenges, particularly the prevailing security issues. He emphasises that “the security challenge we face, is a collective responsibility, so, urge all Nigerians to actively engage in addressing the country’s challenges, by reporting any suspicious activities promptly. If you see something, say something.”

Furthermore, he conveyed a broader message to Nigerians, urging them to love their country and face challenges collectively. Discouraging the idea of fleeing challenges, he reminded Nigerians of the potential for success within Nigeria, emphasising the abundance of resources and the need for collective effort.

In conclusion, the CDS expressed gratitude for the well-wishes on his birthday and reiterated his commitment to working towards the success and prosperity of Nigeria.
