In a grand recognition of his outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s oil and gas development, Chief Henry Ojogho, Chairman of Broron Oil and Gas Ltd, has been nominated for the prestigious Rilwanu Lukman Lifetime Achievement Award in Oil and Gas Development in Nigeria. This prestigious honor will be bestowed upon him at the OurNigeria News Awards 2024, a distinguished annual event celebrating trailblazers and national patriots who have made significant impacts in their respective fields.
The OurNigeria News Awards, now in its latest edition, is themed “Giving Honour to Whom Honour is Due.” According to Dr. Mohammed Sani Abubakar, publisher of the magazine, this year’s event aims to promote and recognize exceptional individuals whose patriotism has transformed Nigeria’s landscape.
Commenting further, Dr Abubakar while acknowledging Chief Henry Ojogho pedigree whose expertise in the energy sector spans over 30 years, noted that the award is premised on his visionary leadership and strategic oversight to drive the energy sector. “His impressive track record includes leadership roles in Broron Oil & Gas and Brostar Oil & Gas, as well as founding several successful businesses.
“His leadership and expertise have been instrumental in driving success in the organizations he has been involved with.” Abubakar adds.
The upcoming award ceremony, scheduled to take place on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at the Abuja Continental Hotel (formerly Sheraton), promises to be a high-profile gathering of Nigeria’s elite. The event will be chaired by Alh. Umaru Abdulmutallab, with Vice President Kashim Shettima in attendance. Other notable guests include Dr. Aliko Dangote, who will be honored as the Man of the Year, as well as Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai, former Chief of Army Staff and Nigeria’s former Ambassador to the Republic of Benin.
