Lieutenant General Shaibu commended the troops for their resilience, professionalism and operational effectiveness in tackling banditry, kidnapping and other criminal activities across the division’s area. He noted that he had received comprehensive briefings on ongoing operations and expressed satisfaction with the successes recorded so far.
“I have been thoroughly briefed on your operations and the remarkable successes you have recorded,” the Army Chief said. “I commend your efforts and urge you to sustain the momentum. Go after the kidnappers and other miscreants wherever they are—whether in the bushes, forests or their hideouts—and ensure these criminal activities are reduced to the barest minimum.”
The COAS also reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare of officers and soldiers, describing troop morale as a critical factor in achieving operational success. He disclosed that approvals have been granted for the renovation of existing accommodation as well as the construction of new residential facilities within the barracks.
According to him, improving living conditions for personnel remains a core element of his command philosophy. He further urged troops to properly maintain existing facilities to ensure a conducive environment for both living and operations.
The visit underscored the Army leadership’s resolve to sustain pressure on criminal networks while strengthening the welfare and morale of personnel deployed across the country.
