Corps Commander Affirms Commitment to Enhancing Nigerian Army Command School’s Service Delivery

The Corps Commander of the Nigerian Army Education Corps (NAEC), Major General Bello Alhaji Tsoho, has underscored his dedication to the ongoing transformation within the Corps. This commitment was reiterated during the inaugural edition of the 81 Division Education Services First Quarter 2024 NAEC Divisional Conference, held at Command Day Secondary School Ikeja Military Cantonment, Lagos, on February 27, 2024.

General Tsoho, in his remarks, expressed that the conference, a first of its kind, symbolises the collective efforts of the Corps and stakeholders to elevate the standard of education in Nigerian Army schools. The goal is to ensure that Command Schools maintain their status as benchmarks for academic excellence.

He emphasised, “The Conference is born out of my blueprint, which seeks to ensure training and re-training of education stakeholders to bring about the desired capacity for enhanced service delivery in our institutions.”

In a related development, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 81 Division, Major General Musa Usman, serving as the Special Guest of Honour, stated, “The conference is a reflection of our collective commitment to strengthening the educational foundation of Command Schools and equipping key stakeholders with the skills and knowledge they need to produce the desired future leaders for our country.” He pledged to provide the strategic direction required for the continued development of Command Schools in the Division through the Director 81 Division Education Services.

Lieutenant Colonel Olalekan Bamiteko, the Acting Director of 81 Division Education Services and the host of the conference, emphasized its importance as a platform for collaboration, learning, and the exchange of ideas. He acknowledged the rapidly evolving education landscape and urged participants to think boldly, challenge assumptions, and explore new ideas in the face of these changes.

The event featured highlights such as the presentation of an ambassadorial award to Mrs. Rikkiya MT Usman, souvenirs, group photographs, and a cultural display by children from Command Schools within Lagos state.
