Dangote Cement Empowers Host Communities with Capacity Building Workshop

In a bid to foster stronger ties with its host communities, Dangote Cement, Ibese Plant, organized a capacity-building workshop aimed at enhancing service delivery and promoting economic prosperity. The workshop, led by the plant’s management team, emphasized the importance of leveraging acquired knowledge to benefit both the communities and the cement plant.

Mr. Olugbenga, a representative of Dangote Cement, Ibese Plant, highlighted the company’s commitment to capacity building as part of its corporate strategy. He emphasized the need for collaboration between the company and local communities to identify skill gaps and facilitate skill development initiatives. Olugbenga expressed hope that stakeholders would join hands to promote peaceful coexistence and shared prosperity.
Addressing participants, he stressed the importance of community ownership of social investment programs, emphasizing that these initiatives are designed for the betterment of the people. He called on community leaders to reciprocate Dangote Cement’s goodwill by ensuring peace and actively participating in developmental projects.
Hon. Dayo Ogunyinka, speaking on behalf of the community representatives, expressed gratitude to Dangote Cement for organizing the workshop. He reassured the company of the communities’ commitment to effective and selfless service delivery, promising continued collaboration for mutual benefit.
