Davido Announces ₦300 Million Donation to Orphanages Nationwide

Nigerian afrobeat sensation, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has once again demonstrated his philanthropic spirit by pledging a generous sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages across the country.
Taking to his social media platform, Davido shared the heartfelt announcement on his X account, formerly Twitter, on Tuesday. He further revealed his intention to provide detailed information regarding the disbursement of the funds on Wednesday.
Davido, in partnership with his foundation, the David Adeleke Foundation, has been consistently involved in charitable endeavours, particularly in supporting orphanages on an annual basis.
Expressing his commitment to giving back to society, Davido wrote, “I and my foundation pledge the sum of 300 million Naira to orphanages around Nigeria … as my yearly contribution to the Nation ❤️ .. details of disbursement tomorrow.”
This latest act of generosity is not unfamiliar territory for Davido, as he has previously extended his support to foster homes in Nigeria. In November 2021, he donated the sum of N250 million to 292 orphanages, marking his 29th birthday celebration. Similarly, in July 2023, the musician was reported to have donated N237 million to over 400 orphanages across the nation.
Davido’s continuous efforts in uplifting vulnerable communities through substantial contributions reflect his dedication to making a positive impact and fostering societal change.
