Dikwa Inaugurates Governing Board of Al-Ansar Centre for Comprehensive Education
Founder and President of Al-Ansar Foundation, Dr M. K Dikwa on Sunday in Abuja, inaugurated the board of Al-Ansar Centre for Comprehensive Education (ACCE).
Delivering his inauguration address at the event, Dr Dikwa stated that the inauguration of the Governing Board is a shared responsibility and commitment to providing strategic leadership and governance structure to further strengthen the school which started full academic operations about a year.
He said that the Governing Board Members were selected purely based on merits and commitment to the vision and mission of the Al-Ansar Foundation which is: Service to Humanity.
“I wish to state that the Al-Ansar Centre for Comprehensive Education (ACCE) Board is made up of experts from both Academia, Technocrats and other critical professions which we believe are individuals with proven track records, seasoned professionals with an enormous wealth of experiences and whose competences, character and discipline are unquestionable and progressive.”
Dr Dikwa expressed gratitude for their patriotism and esteemed presence to undertake the onerous task despite their various commitments and crowded schedules.
“I must say that your answer to our call today signifies the belief and shared commitment not only to the Foundation’s vision and mission but also your willingness to lend support to the upliftment of Al-Ansar Centre for Comprehensive Education (ACCE), Abuja.”
Dr Dikwa used the medium to remind the newly inaugurated members of the Governing board that a leadership position is critical to the survival of any organization and as such comes with duties, obligations, and responsibilities, and expressed satisfaction with their impressive records.
“We are very optimistic that with your outstanding antecedences, you are not only expected to raise the banner and promote Al-Ansar Centre for Comprehensive Education (ACCE, Abuja) but also to use your influence, contacts, and goodwill to liaise with government agencies and officials, as well as parents for their esteemed patronage.”
Dr Dikwa reminded the board of the vision of establishing the school, adding that it would serve as a signpost, guide, and shining beacon in the discharge of their mandate(s) and responsibilities.
Furthering, he reeled out some of the boards’ duties’ descriptions. “The Board shall be responsible for policy formulations, supervising, monitoring, and evaluating the activities of ACCE.
They shall approve strategic plans and set data-driven expectations and goals. The Board shall be responsible for reviewing the performance of the previous year’s and allocating resources and as well as approving the annual budget prepared by the management of the school. The Board shall ensure effective school administration and management by developing concise plans/framework…”
Prof. Salisu Shehu was inaugurated as the Chairman of the Governing Board while Prof. Abba Tijani, Prof. Mohammed Kida, Dr Zainab Gimba, Dr Moayad Alrachid, Alh. Hakeem Dosunmu, Engr. Babagana Kyari, Mohammed Shehu, Dawud Kyari, Abdulmalik Kyari, Engr. Muktar Umar Usman and Barrister Modibbo Bello (the Legal Adviser), were inaugurated as members.
The highlight of the event was the address by the founder and president of ACCE and the inauguration of the governing board.
