Drama in Abakaliki as Boutique Owner Allegedly Turns Into Water to Escape EFCC Arrest

Chaos erupted in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, after the owner of a popular boutique, identified as Madam Nneoma, allegedly transformed into a pool of water to evade arrest by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The bizarre incident reportedly occurred at her shop along Ogoja Road, where EFCC officials had gone to apprehend her over an alleged multi-million-naira fraud case linked to her business activities.

According to eyewitnesses, the operatives entered the boutique to effect her arrest when the unexpected happened. Staff and customers claimed that as the officers advanced toward her, the woman suddenly “melted” into a pool of clear water, leaving only her wrapper and blouse on the floor.

“She was arranging clothes, then water was everywhere. Her clothes just dropped. Everyone knows she has spiritual powers… she’s a water goddess,” a shocked salesgirl recounted.

EFCC operatives were said to have been visibly startled, with some reportedly attempting to collect the water as evidence.

The incident has since drawn crowds to the boutique, with residents expressing disbelief while local traditionalists insist that Madam Nneoma merely “returned to her spiritual realm” and could reappear when she chooses.

The EFCC is yet to comment on the dramatic claims.
