ECOWAS Opens Applications for Multiple Job Positions Across Member States

The Economic Community of West African States has announced the commencement of recruitment for multiple job positions across its institutions, inviting qualified candidates from member states to apply.

The regional body disclosed this on its official website, noting that the vacancies cut across several sectors, including administration, finance, trade, infrastructure, health, telecommunications, legal affairs, and security.

According to ECOWAS, the recruitment drive seeks competent and skilled professionals to fill a wide range of technical and administrative roles within its institutions.

The available positions span dozens of roles across different locations, with many based in Abuja, while others are situated in cities such as Dakar, Conakry, Addis Ababa, and Liberia.

Roles available include office aides, programme assistants, accountants, legal officers, political advisers, as well as senior-level positions such as directors and principal officers.

Applicants are required to submit a completed application form, curriculum vitae, and a cover letter via email before the application deadline.

The organisation stated that applications opened on April 1, 2026, and will close on April 30, 2026.

ECOWAS also outlined age requirements for applicants, specifying a maximum of 35 years for general service roles, 45 years for professional positions, and 50 years for director-level appointments. It encouraged female candidates to apply and noted that only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.

The recruitment exercise is part of efforts to strengthen the capacity of ECOWAS institutions and enhance service delivery across the region.
