In a bid to bid farewell to the outgoing Ambassador of France to Nigeria, Emmanuelle Blatmann, Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, emphasised the Federal Government’s dedication to maintaining strong bilateral relations on defense with France.
During the farewell meeting at Ship House Abuja, the Minister expressed Nigeria’s readiness to enhance the existing partnership, emphasising the importance of training and technology transfer in strengthening ties.
Ambassador Blatmann, appreciating Nigeria’s warm gesture, highlighted the strategic partnership between the two nations and suggested the development of intelligence-sharing cooperation to address extremism and regional insecurity. As she takes on a new role at the French Foreign Affairs Ministry, she pledged increased collaboration to deepen defense ties with Nigeria.
