Foundation donates food items to Bauchi Muslims in 20 LGAs

Amb. Tuggar Foundation in Bauchi State donated food items worth hundreds of Millions of Naira to Muslims and traditional rulers across the 20 twenty local government areas of the State.
Alhaji Bello Tukura, Director General (DG) Tuggar Foundation while inaugurating the donation on Saturday in Bauchi, explained that the items were donated by friends and associates of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Amb Yusuf Tuggar.
He said that the businessmen and marketers were the ones who procured and supplied the items in an effort to boost their outlets and promote local business development.
The items distributed include bags of rice and sugar as well as spaghetti and macaroni for all the 20 LGAs irrespective of political party affiliation in the spirit of the ongoing Ramadan fasting by Muslims
According to him, “The items are meant to alleviate the tough situation people are going through presently due to the harsh economic downturn across the country. At least, it will take care of the immediate need for food.”
“These items are for Muslims because this is Ramadan month of Muslim fasting, the items are meant to enable them to break their fasting for the period.”
He added that the Foundation also considered the traditional institution as a key player in the peaceful coexistence of the people of the state so they have been included in the distribution.
The DG assured that the exercise has no political undertone as it is purely service to humanity as a means of support to the less privileged members of the public.
On his part, The Personal Assistant to the Minister, Mohammed Tilde commended the DG of Tuggar Foundation, Bello Tukura for being a dependable ally to Ambassador Tuggar saying such people are very rare to find.
The PA corroborated the DG that the exercise does not have any political inclination but rather, an avenue to support citizens to live a better life in the midst of the economic recession in the country.
He assured that the Foundation will continue to be supportive of the Minister in seeing that people were empowered to have a source of livelihood.
