Nollywood actress and newly commissioned US Navy officer, Grace Charis Bassey, has stirred reactions online after sharing striking photos from a recent military training exercise.

Bassey, seen fully kitted alongside fellow officers, revealed that she successfully completed an eight-mile hike up and down a mountain while carrying more than 60 pounds of load on her back. The actress expressed pride and gratitude as she celebrated the achievement.

“8-mile hike up and down the mountain with over 60 lbs of load on your back—Is it a joke to you? But your girl did it. I did that. Thank you, Lord,” she wrote.

This comes months after Bassey announced on Instagram that she had completed her US Navy boot camp, officially earning US citizenship in the process. At the time, she posted a portrait in uniform and thanked God, her family, and supporters, admitting the journey had been tough but fulfilling. She noted that she carried her “roots, faith, and vision” every step of the way.

Her latest photos have since gone viral, with fans and colleagues applauding her strength, resilience, and transition from movie screens to military service.
