General Musa Expresses Condolences Mobilizes Armed Forces Support for Borno Flood Victims

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has conveyed his heartfelt sympathy to the government and people of Borno State following the devastating floods caused by the breach of the Alo Dam.

The CDS prayed for the souls of the deceased and a speedy recovery for the injured, seeking divine comfort for all those affected by the tragic floods.
The disaster has claimed lives, destroyed property, and displaced thousands, crippling economic activities in the region.
General Musa expressed his deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives and the massive destruction that has left many homeless.
On behalf of the Nigerian Armed Forces, he extended condolences to the bereaved families and assured the people of Borno State of full military support during this difficult time.

The CDS confirmed that the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) would work closely with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and other relevant bodies to provide immediate relief and assistance to the flood-affected communities.
He further directed the theatre commander of Operation Hadin Kai to ensure swift evacuation and aid for all victims.

General Musa reaffirmed the AFN’s commitment to support ongoing rescue and rehabilitation efforts, adding that both the Federal and Borno state governments are working tirelessly to alleviate the suffering caused by the catastrophe.
