Gov Uba Showcases Kaduna’s Investment Opportunities at G-20 Summit in Johannesburg

Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, CON, says Kaduna is rapidly emerging as Nigeria’s most competitive and investment-ready destination, highlighting the state’s reforms and strategic advantages at an Investment Breakfast Dialogue held on the sidelines of the G-20 Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The high-level session was convened by the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) in collaboration with the Nigerian High Commission in South Africa, the South African Department of Trade and Industry, and MTN Group. It brought together senior officials from both countries as well as influential private-sector leaders across South Africa.

In his presentation, Governor Sani outlined four priority sectors where Kaduna State holds exceptional potential: Agriculture, Transport, Solid Minerals, and Renewable Energy.

He highlighted Kaduna’s pioneering achievements, including becoming the first state to establish both a Special Agro-Processing Zone (SAPZ) and the Africa Quality Assurance Centre (AQAC)—initiatives that have already attracted strong investor interest.

On infrastructure, the governor emphasized the state’s integrated transport blueprint, the rollout of CNG-powered buses, and the planned development of light-rail corridors, BRT routes, and major road expansions aimed at revolutionising mobility and logistics.

He also pointed to Kaduna’s rich endowment of mineral resources and the state’s aggressive push for clean, decentralised energy solutions, especially for underserved communities.

Governor Sani said the enthusiasm shown by investors at the dialogue reflects confidence in Kaduna State’s reform-driven trajectory. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to maintaining a business environment grounded in transparency, regulatory certainty, and long-term economic sustainability—factors that have positioned Kaduna as a national leader in ease of doing business.

He further commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR for implementing bold national economic reforms that have strengthened Nigeria’s investment climate. According to him, the President’s support for subnational autonomy in attracting investments has empowered states like Kaduna to establish strategic partnerships across the globe.

Governor Sani concluded by assuring potential investors that Kaduna is fully prepared to welcome partnerships aimed at delivering shared prosperity and sustainable development.
