Some suspected hoodlums have reportedly attacked a commercial driver traveling from Abuja to Yola, smashing the windscreen of his vehicle shortly after passing through Jos.

The incident comes amid heightened tension in Plateau State following a recent attack in the Rukuba community, which prompted the state government to impose a curfew across Jos North Local Government Area.
Sources indicate that the driver, identified as an Adamawa Sunshine operator, was targeted along the route, raising fresh concerns over the safety of travelers in the area.
In the aftermath of the attack, motorists have been advised to exercise extreme caution when plying the Jos corridor, particularly as security restrictions remain in place.
There are also reports that some youths may be exploiting the situation to harass and attack innocent road users, further escalating fears among commuters.
Security agencies are said to be monitoring developments, while residents and travelers are urged to comply with the curfew directives and avoid unnecessary movement until calm is fully restored.
