Kaduna State Receives CDS Support Amidst Kidnapping Crisis
General Christopher Gwabin Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff, visited Kaduna State to express solidarity and offer condolences following the tragic kidnapping of over 200 students from Kuriga Community.
During his visit to the Sir Kashim House, General Musa Emphasized the state’s challenging times and the need for peace to attract business and ensure prosperity.
“The Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) are committed to securing the nation and its citizens, and I can assure Your Excellency of our unwavering resolve to keep to this commitment, ‘ he said highlighting the importance of rescuing the kidnapped children, who are seen as future leaders, and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
President Ahmad Bola Tinubu has directed the AFN to prioritise the safe return of the children, and General Musa called on the community to assist the military by leveraging their knowledge of the local terrain. Community leaders praised the CDS for his efforts and urged for more proactive measures to address kidnappings and other criminal activities.
Governor Uba Sani expressed gratitude for the CDS’s visit and the collaborative efforts between the AFN and other security agencies. He also acknowledged the community’s support and the state’s work with volunteers to provide relief to the affected families. “This, I can assure you. Kaduna State will continue its partnership with the AFN and sister agencies to ensure the safe return of the kidnapped children,” the governor vowed.
