In the women’s category, the clash between MFM Yaba and Royal Aces once again lived up to expectations. Royal Aces, eager to assert themselves since joining Nigerian women’s basketball, started strongly and controlled the tempo in the early stages. However, MFM Yaba’s resilience and experience proved decisive as they took charge in the later quarters to secure a convincing 62–47 victory.

The men’s encounter between Ebun Comets and Energie was a nail-biter that kept fans on edge until the final moments. Both sides exchanged baskets throughout regulation time. Energie came close to sealing the win in the dying seconds, but Konie (14) missed two crucial free throws with just four seconds left, forcing the game into the first overtime of the championship. The tension continued in overtime, and with the score tied at 70, a late turnover by Ebun Comets allowed Energie to pull away and clinch a 74–70 win.

Another women’s game saw FirstDeepwater Basketball Club face ASPAC Basketball Club in a closely contested match. While less dramatic, both teams displayed determination and grit. ASPAC held a narrow one-point lead in the closing seconds and defended resolutely to edge out FirstDeepwater 44–42.

In the final fixture, the Police Baton team took on reigning champions Maktown Flyers in an intense contest that blended youth and experience. The Police side matched Maktown basket for basket in the opening phases, with both teams showcasing accurate shooting. Maktown Flyers eventually asserted their championship pedigree, holding off a late challenge to record a 74–68 victory.

The series of matches highlighted the growing competitiveness and depth of talent within Nigerian basketball across all divisions.
