Monarch sends SOS to CDS over ‘one chance’ criminality in Abuja

The Ona of Abaji and  Chairman FCT Council of Chiefs, HRH Alhaji Adamu Baba has raised alarm over the increasing cases of criminalities particularly the ‘one chance’ in Abuja and the need for urgent attention to curb the menace.

Baba stated this in Abuja when he paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS),  General Christopher Gwabin Musa on Thursday.

This is contained in a press statement issued by Brig.-Gen. Tuku Gusau, Director, Defence Information to journalists.

He called on the CDS to do more to make Abuja safer while expressing his concern on the increasing rate of criminality, particularly the ‘ one chance’ criminals in Abuja.

The monarch who was accompanied by other FCT traditional rulers said he came to appreciate the CDS in particular and the Armed Forces for their diligence in fighting security in the nation and FCT in particular.

Responding, the CDS, General Musa   thanked the revered traditional rulers for coming.

He added that although security is every body’s business, there is the need for traditional rulers to sensitise their subjects to “see something and say something” to enable the military take decisive actions.

Gen Musa also implore the leaders to take community policing seriously in order to address issues of criminality in FCT.
