The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced a partnership with the Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development to organise the 2025 Nigeria International Air Show.
This collaboration was disclosed in a statement by Tunde Moshood, Special Adviser on Media and Communications to the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, on Tuesday in Abuja.
According to the statement, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, revealed the partnership during a courtesy visit to Keyamo’s office.
Abubakar noted that the NAF had been independently planning its own air show before learning of the ministry’s similar initiative.
“The united approach would significantly enhance the event’s impact and reinforce global appeal,” Abubakar said.
Keyamo commended the NAF Chief’s foresight, describing it as a pivotal step toward showcasing Nigeria’s aviation and aerospace capabilities on the world stage.
“The synergy between the ministry and the NAF would fast-track the achievements of shared objectives,” Moshood quoted Keyamo as saying.
To ensure seamless planning and execution, both parties announced the creation of an eight-member committee comprising representatives from the ministry and the NAF.
The committee will coordinate logistics, international collaborations, and stakeholder engagement for the event.
The 2025 Nigeria International Air Show, slated to be held in Lagos, is expected to draw global aviation and aerospace stakeholders, including manufacturers, investors, regulators, and enthusiasts.
The event aims to showcase cutting-edge technologies, foster partnerships, and explore opportunities for advancing Nigeria’s aviation sector.
“This partnership will position Nigeria as a hub for innovation, drive economic growth, and place the nation’s aviation and aerospace industries on the global map,” the statement added.
