NAHCON Chairman Welcomes Saudi Minister of Hajj, Umrah for Bilateral Talks in Nigeria
The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, on Monday officially received His Excellency, Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, upon his arrival in Nigeria for bilateral consultations.

Following the reception, both delegations moved to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for a high-level meeting aimed at strengthening cooperation between Nigeria and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with particular focus on improving Hajj operations and pilgrim welfare.
The discussions are expected to address key areas including logistics, accommodation, transportation, and overall service delivery for Nigerian pilgrims during future Hajj exercises.
Professor Usman was accompanied by the Commissioner for Operations, members of the NAHCON board, representatives of the Forum of State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Boards Chairmen, as well as leaders of licensed Hajj tour operators.
The visit underscores the growing partnership between both countries in ensuring seamless pilgrimage arrangements and enhancing the spiritual experience of Nigerian pilgrims.
